13-year-old Charity Chirwa is an attentive observer and loves nothing more than immersing herself in calm activities such as painting, reading or knitting. She enjoys going to school and particularly likes learning math. She would like to be a physician one day. Charity, who has severe hearing loss, only started wearing hearing aids in October 2014. Although she still has difficulty speaking, she has been growing increasingly confident since then.
